Artificial Intelligence Accelerated Materials Discovery Lab led by Prof. Ming Hu at Mechanical Engineering Department, University of South Carolina has multiple full time PhD student openings in the broad areas of machine learning accelerated energy materials discovery.  More information about our group can be found in following webpages.

 

Interested applications should send following documents by E-Mail:

1) a CV with full publication list and short description of previous and current research projects

2) bachelor and/or master transcript(s)

 

High priority will be given to those with strong background in atomistic simulations (classical molecular dynamics simulations and/or first-principles calculations) of thermal, electronic, or ionic transport in crystalline materials.  Students with a master’s degree in materials science or condensed matter physics are strongly encouraged to apply.
