Multiple PhD positions in computational and theoretical Condensed Matter Physics are available in the Physics Department at Binghamton University (State University of New York, USA). Projects on the development and application of computational methods have been supported by Federal and NY State funding agencies. Developed packages offer advanced algorithms for materials prediction (evolutionary search, neural networks, data mining, etc.) and ab initio characterization of materials properties (superconductivity, transport, etc.). The particular focus of the research is on energy materials: thermoelectrics, superconductors, batteries, and catalysts.
