Applications are invited from suitable candidates for the Ph.D. position to work on Molecular Dynamics simulation of nanomaterials and biomaterials for energy and environmental applications, under the supervision of Prof. Mohit Garg in the Department of Chemical Engineering, BITS-Pilani, Pilani Campus, Rajasthan, India.

The review of applications will start immediately. We are seeking highly motivated candidates with good knowledge of molecular dynamics simulations and programming language who is ready to start immediately.

Eligibility: B.E/B.Tech/M.E./M.Tech. (with at least 60% marks) in Chemical Engineering/Material Science/Computational Material Science or relevant area; M.Sc. Physics, Chemistry with 60% marks

Desirable Qualifications:

    • GATE or NET qualified
    • Experience in MD simulations using LAMMPS/GROMACS
    • Knowledge of programming language, e.g., MATLAB, python, C/C++
    • Experience with Bash scripting and Unix/Linux environment
    • Self-motivated, keen to learn new simulation methods, and ability to solve problems independently
    • Good proficiency in technical writing

Fellowship Amount: Rs. 31,000 per month

Eligibility: Indian Nationals Only
