Group of Prof. Stich, Inst. of Physics, Slovak Academy of Sciences (IPSAS) in Bratislava, Slovakia
invites applications for PhD. study in Condensed matter Physics. The successful applicant is expected to work primarily in application of stochastic QMC methods to low-D systems [1]. Via IPSAS, the PhD student will be in close touch with TREX: the European Center of Excellence in Exascale Computing (/https://trex-coe.eu). Expected qualifications: knowledge of quantum mechanics, HPC and distributed computing, Linux/UNIX, experience with/ability to adapt to QMC methods.
