The Max Planck Institute for Solid State Research offers up to two new PhD positions in the department for Electronic Structure Theory (Prof. Ali Alavi).
The PhD students will be supervised by Dr. Daniel Kats. The main focus of the work will be on the method development and implementation of novel quantum-chemical approaches for strongly-correlated systems and/or applications of the methods to molecular systems and crystals.
Candidates with a diploma or master degree in Chemistry, Physics or Computational Science are encouraged to apply.
The positions are funded by Max Planck PhD student work contracts. Duration: 3 years initially.
