For the Laboratory for Reactor Physics and Systems Behaviour we are looking for a

PhD Student

Multiscale Modelling of Nuclear Materials

Your tasks

  • Multiscale Modelling of the microstructural evolution in reactor vessel steels
  • Development and application of simulation and post-processing codes
  • Collaboration within the Horizon 2020 project SOTERIA
  • Present your scientific results at national and international conferences and publishing it in peer-reviewed journals

Your profile

  • You hold a Master degree in materials science, nuclear engineering or physics
  • Good programming skills (c/c++, Fortran, Python)
  • Experience in materials simulation
  • Good communication skills
  • Knowledge of nuclear technology is an advantage
  • Good English language skills are imperative and knowledge of German and/or French is a plus

You will be registered as a PhD student at KTH in Stockholm. Your main working place will be at the Paul Scherrer Institute.
