Job Description and Qualifications
The candidate should have a Master’s Degree in Physics or Engineering (preferably Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science and Engineering) from an internationally recognized institution. Background in atomistic simulations such as molecular dynamics and/or quasi-continuum (QC) is essential. The stipend (fellowship) of the doctoral candidate is according to the standard policy and stipend rates of AICES. Candidates should have the ability to think creatively and have an excellent knowledge of the English language and excellent communication skills in general. Highly motivated students are strongly encouraged to apply. German language is not required in AICES.

The PhD candidate will be co-supervised by Prof. Bob Svendsen at AICES, RWTH Aachen University.
