Job announcements relevant to people interested in electronic structure calculations…
Due to the large number of posts recently, there is currently a delay of several weeks between posts being submitted and the corresponding emails being distributed to all users. Please bear with us while we try to improve this. In the meantime – and until this notice is removed – it would assist us considerably if you could submit only important and/or urgent posts and thus help to reduce the size of the mail queue. Under no circumstances should you resend posts multiple times when you find the emails are not distributed immediately.
In light of the Russian military offensive in Ukraine, we request that announcements relating to events, jobs and other activities associated with institutions supported by the Russian and Belarusian states are not posted to the Psi-k forum.

A reminder: DL for application is in a week from now:
A fully funded Ph.D. position in atomistic simulations is available in a theory group “Atomistic Simulations of Materials” (Group Leader Dr. Arkady Krasheninnikov) at the Institute of Ion Beam Physics and Materials Research, Helmholtz-Zentrum Dresden-Rossendorf, Germany.
Two-dimensional (2D) inorganic materials, which have recently been on the forefront of research in chemistry, physics and materials science, have unique electronic and optical properties. The properties can further be tuned by controllable introduction of defects and impurities. ln the project "Multi-scale atomistic simulations of defects and impurities in two-dimensional chalcogenides”, which is a part of the planned research effort at the Collaborative Research Center 1415 “Chemistry of Synthetic Two-Dimensional Materials” (https://tu-dresden.de/mn/chemie/sfb1415), we are going to study the role of defects in 2D chalcogenides and other 2D materials, such as metal-organic frameworks. The project is going to be carried out in close collaboration with several experimental groups at TU Dresden and Ulm University, so that it will give a unique opportunity to carry out a theoretical research in a 'hot' area in collaboration with world-leading experimental groups focused on 2D materials.
