Applications are invited for one PhD position in high pressure mineral physics. The project is part of a research unit of the German Research Foundation (DFG) on structures and properties of carbonates at extreme conditions. The PhD student is supposed to perform both high pressure experiments using diamond anvil cells and electronic structure calculations. The position is located at GFZ German Research Centre for Geosciences, Potsdam, Germany (months 1-18) and at the University of Cologne, Germany (months 19-36).
