Dear PhD candidates,

The Bande research group "Theory of Electron Dynamics and Spectroscopy" at the Helmholtz-Zentrum Berlin (HZB) seeks a PhD candidate with a Master’s degree in (theoretical) chemistry, physics, or material science for the simulation of silicon quantum dots controlled by magnetic and electromagnetic fields. With the project we seek to contribute to the discovery of quantum bit devices. Electron dynamics simulations are developed and executed on traditional and/or quantum computer hardware. Cooperation partners of this research are in Augsburg University, while a part of the research group is based at Leibniz Hannover University.
