PhD position is available at the Department of Physics, Pukyong National University, Busan, Korea.

Project:

We are mostly working on 2D materials, and the central issues are

- Magnetic property including magnetic anisotropy, Curie temperature calculations

- Thermoelectric, or spin seebeck effect, spin Nernst effect

- Valley polarization, anomalous Hall effect, quantum anomalous Hall effect in 2D materials

- Designing of new 2D materials.

Requirement:

1. Should have Master degree in physics or material sciences.
2. Should have experience in DFT calculations in one of the tools (vasp, wien2k, quantum espresso, siesta, etc..)
