Computational Nanoscience Group at University of South Florida (USF) has opening for:
 
PhD position
 
Research area: atomistic simulations of multifunctional nanomaterials
 
Job Description:
 
The successful candidate should have a Bachelor or Master's Degree in Physics or Engineering (or Material Science Engineering). Solid background in condensed matter physics and computational methods is preferable. Experience in modern software as VASP, ABINIT, Quantum Espresso, GULP is a plus. The candidate will work on the computational exploration of nanomaterials and will have the unique opportunity to learn new physics and develop strong computational and programming skills.
 
 
Required qualifications:
 
  (i) strong academic record;
 (ii) for international students proficiency in English;
(iii) strong desire and motivation to conduct computational research.
