The proposed research is the development, implementation, and application of a kernel correction to the ground-state correlation energy within the random phase approximation, and a kernel corrected time-dependent density functional theory, in the FHI-aims all-electron code.
The graduate research assistant will work with Professor Adrienn Ruzsinszky at Temple University in Philadelphia, and collaborate with Professors Xinguo Ren at University of Science and Technology of China in Hefei, and Matthias Scheffler at Fritz Haber Institute in Berlin.
The student should have good programming skills.
