We are looking for candidates for a PhD position at the Materials Center Leoben Forschung GmbH. The topic of the PhD will be devoted to development of new materials for applications in the emerging hydrogen economy sector. The project starts on June 1, 2022 and will be conducted in a close cooperation with industrial and academic partners. The focus of the PhD will be on the multiscale modeling of precipitation hardened fcc alloys, including DFT, Calphad, FEM and machine learning methods. The candidate will have a chance to contribute to development of the existing and new in-house software solutions for digital material design. Therefore, basic knowledge of programming languages such as python and/or html is a plus. More details can be found using the link below or in the attachment.
