A fully-funded, full-time Ph.D. position is available in our group in the Department of Chemical Engineering at Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS) Pilani. The research will focus on multiscale simulations of conducting polymers, including density functional theory, molecular dynamics simulations, and Monte Carlo simulations, with the opportunity to validate the computational studies experimentally.

Essential Minimum Qualification:

• • BE/BTech/ME/MTech in Chemical Engineering, Material Science, Nanotechnology or related
  • or M.Sc in Physics/Chemistry/Nanoscience or related

• • Experience in coding Languages, MATLAB or C/C⁺⁺ or python

• • Good communication skills in English, both written and oral, in presentations and in writing original scientific research through peer-reviewed publications

Desired Qualification but not mandatory:

• • Knowledge in using simulation codes, e.g., Gaussian, LAMMPS/GROMACS,

• • knowledge in quantum and molecular simulations,

• • Knowledge of the concepts of DFT, MD will be of advantage.
