A three-years position for a doctoral candidate is available in the group of Prof. Caterina Cocchi (Physics Department, Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin) to work on the project “Fundamentals of Molecular Electrical Doping of Organic Semiconductors (FoMEDOS)” financed by the German Research Foundation (DFG). The ideal candidate has a Master Degree (or equivalent) in Physics, Chemistry, Materials Science, or related disciplines, and is familiar with density-functional theory (DFT) and/or quantum-chemistry methods. Experience with time-dependent DFT and/or many-body perturbation theory (GW and the Bethe-Salpeter equation) in the field of theoretical spectroscopy is considered a plus. Knowledge of at least one scientific programming language is requested along with good oral and written communication skills in English.
