Dear PhD candidates,

The Bande research group "Optical Materials: Computational Methods" at the Leibniz Universität Hannover (LUH) seeks a PhD candidate with a Master’s degree in (theoretical) chemistry, physics, or computer science for the development of efficient quantum algorithms for the computation of electron dynamics to be implemented in the program JELLYFISH. The project will support the research in the cluster of excellence PhoenixD and contribute code into the OPTISIM platform. A cooperation with industry partners fosters the advance the project towards real quantum computers. A part of the research group is based at Helmholtz-Zentrum Berlin.

Note that the position is currently limited to 1.5 years but shall be extended to a total of 3 years minimum after the decision on the continuation of the cluster of excellence.
