Dear PhD candidates,

The Bande research group "Optical Materials: Computational Methods" at the Leibniz Universität Hannover (LUH) seeks a PhD candidate with a Master’s degree in (theoretical) chemistry, physics, computer or data science for the continuation of a research project on the machine learning of spectroscopy using machine learning techniques besides quantum chemistry approaches. The development is directed to the more complicated spectra of d- and f-block elements compared to main groups. The project will support the research in the cluster of excellence PhoenixD and foster cooperation with experimental work groups in the chemistry institutes. Complementary research is done at Helmholtz-Zentrum Berlin, where a part of the research group is based.
