PhD opportunities at the Atomistic Simulation Ce ... (No replies)
Dear Colleagues,
the Atomistic Simulation Centre (ASC) at Queen's University Belfast (https://titus.phy.qub.ac.uk/) is currently receiving applications for PhD projects to start in September 2019. The projects on offer are the following:
1) Modelling energy deposition in biomolecules on ultrafast timescales
2) Computer simulation of DNA radiation damage
3) 2D materials based ultra-thin memory storage: efficient energy conversion and novel device platforms
4) Quantum interactions in nanostructures
5) Gold nanoparticle heating towards more efficient thermal cancer treatment
6) Exploring thermoelectric phenomena in cement
