PhD opening in Physics at EPFL (No replies)

One PhD opening in Physics in available immediately at Ecole Polytechnique Federale de Lausanne (EPFL), Switzerland. The project will focus on developing and combining first-principles methodologies, machine learning and experimental diffraction data in an open science platform for materials discovery. The project will be jointly supervised by Prof. Henrik Ronnow ([email protected]) and Prof. Oleg Yazyev ([email protected]).

Expected qualifications:
Master degree in physics, chemistry, materials science, or related field
Experience in performing first-principles calculations
Experience in data science, machine learning
Programming in Python, C/C++, Fortran
Excellent communication skills in English (both written and verbal)
Ability to work independently and take responsibility for progress and quality of projects
Ability to work in a team environment
