We have a new opening at the University of Edinburgh for a PhD position in combined experimental and computational studies of fluids at extreme conditions. We are looking for an individual who is enthusiastic about the use of both experimental and theoretical/modelling techniques to understand liquid condensed matter under extreme conditions. The project is focused on determining whether pressure induces changes in the solubility of simple gases in water and how these relate to the electronic properties of the solute molecules.
