The recently launched Center for Semiconductor Modeling (CSM, http://www.bu.edu/csm) and Consortium (http://www.bu.edu/csm/csm-consortium) is looking to fill a number of positions at the level of PhD student, Post-Doctoral Associate and Research Scientist. Successful candidates will be associated with the Computational Electronics Group at Boston University and will work in a highly collaborative environment encompassing industrial organizations, universities and federal laboratories.

 

The CSM is looking for candidates with education in Physics, Electrical Engineering or Material Science with emphasis in semiconductor materials and devices simulation, and Computer Science. Furthermore, the ability to develop efficient, C/C++/Fortran codes for high performance computing systems is considered a critical skill. Candidates will be working on the design and development of multi-scale simulation software for electronic structure, transport modeling and performance evaluation of electronic and optoelectronic devices.

 

Initial contract will be for one year renewable up to three years. Salary will be commensurate to the level of expertise. Preference will be given to candidates that are already in the US. US citizenship or permanent residency may be required for some positions. The Computational Electronics Group is housed in the Photonics Research Building at Boston University. The group manages a variety of high performance computing clusters and has its own experimental device characterization facilities.
