Yuanyue Liu group at University of Texas at Austin (UT Austin) has opening(s) for PhD student and/or postdoc fellow. The group uses first-principles methods to study electronic materials and energy materials. Detailed information about the research can be found at: https://sites.utexas.edu/yuanyue-liu/research/

For PhD position, the student is expected to join in Spring (preferred) or Fall 2021. Interested candidates please submit the application through https://tmi.utexas.edu/academics/graduate-program/doctoral-program, and select “computational materials science” as your interested area, AND select Dr. Liu as your potential advisor. Please note that the GRE score is waived for applications for Spring and Fall 2021 admissions. The deadline for Spring admission application is 10/01 and for Fall is 12/15. Interested candidates can email [email protected] with your CV to accompany the online application. 

For postdoc position, the candidate is expected to have background/experience in first principles modeling of charge/thermal transport. The project will be studying carrier transport in 2D materials. The starting date is negotiable. To apply, please email [email protected] with your CV.
