We are looking for a potential Ph.D candidate to work on the thesis topic "First Principles Exploration of High Entropy Materials". These chemical systems constitutes vast phase space (atomic arrangement) and chemical space (choice of elements) due to their high entropy nature. This aspect makes these systems both interesting and challenging to address both experimentally and theoretically, particularly for structure-property relationships. The phd work will focus on the development of simulation workflows based on various computational methodologies along with machine learning to address, understand and explore the high entropy materials.
The PhD work will be carried out under the joint supervision of Dr. Santanu Saha (Asst. Prof.) and Dr. Assil Bouzid (CNRS Researcher) based in University of Limoges and IRCER-CNRS Laboratory, Limoges. The position will tentatively start from Sept 2024.
