Here in Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at University of California, Los Angeles, U.S., we are looking for a Ph.D. student to work on DFT calculations of photocatalytic oxides, i.e., TiO2. The position is fully funded and immediately available. Desired qualifications for this position are listed below:

1. Skilled in DFT calculations, experienced in VASP or similar packages;
2. Background in Solid State Physics, with solid knowledge in band structure, crystal structure, defects, surface/interface;
3. Master degree, with publication(s), desired, undergraduate with strong background are also encouraged to apply;
4. Self motivated with high productivity.
