Job announcements relevant to people interested in electronic structure calculations…
Due to the large number of posts recently, there is currently a delay of several weeks between posts being submitted and the corresponding emails being distributed to all users. Please bear with us while we try to improve this. In the meantime – and until this notice is removed – it would assist us considerably if you could submit only important and/or urgent posts and thus help to reduce the size of the mail queue. Under no circumstances should you resend posts multiple times when you find the emails are not distributed immediately.
In light of the Russian military offensive in Ukraine, we request that announcements relating to events, jobs and other activities associated with institutions supported by the Russian and Belarusian states are not posted to the Psi-k forum.

Ph.D. position is available at the Computational Nanocatalysis group led by Prof. Sergey Kozlov the Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at the National University of Singapore (#11 in QS World University Rankings). This Ph.D. study will be funded by a research scholarship over 4 years and will include both research and coursework.
The proposed project will focus on simulations of unique catalytic properties of nanocomposite materials using density functional theory (DFT) and will challenge the student’s knowledge of physics, chemistry, materials science, and nanotechnology. The envisaged research will involve both the development of advanced computational approaches and more applied studies related to green energy and green fuel technologies in collaboration with renowned local and international experimental groups.
The applications should be done through the Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering (https://www.eng.nus.edu.sg/graduate/graduate-research-based-programmes/how-to-apply/). Strong preference will be given to applicants with previous experience in atomistic and DFT simulations.
Application deadline: 1 January 2022
Ph.D. start date: 1 August 2022
