ISSP, the Univ. of Tokyo is seeking highly motivated researchers who will conduct development of innovative algorithms for the inverse design of materials with specified properties and characteristics. This department operates under a contract with the Institute for Solid State Physics at the University of Tokyo and Toyota Motor Corporation, and is looking for a researcher who can actively engage in new research areas in collaboration with the principal investigator (PI). Previous research fields are not a requirement, but experience in machine learning, such as neural networks, and automatic differentiation, is desirable.
