We are accepting applications for a postdoctoral appointment in the research group “Computational Energy Materials Design (CEMD)” at Chungnam National University (CNU) in Daejeon, South Korea. We are interested in unravelling and improving the physical and chemical properties of electrochemical systems, especially in the field of water electrolysis, fuel cell and batteries. The appointment is initially for one year, but will be extended up to two or more additional years, depending on satisfactory progress and availability of grant funds. The salary depends on previous experience and it is fixed according with the CNU salary administration policy.
Required Qualifications
Successful candidates must have a PhD in computational chemistry/physics or a closely related field and an expertise in state-of-the-art first-principles calculations and/or molecular dynamics simulations. Familiarity with the VASP and LAMMPS code would be appreciated. Previous programming experience is an advantage. Good communication skills in English, both oral and written, is compulsory. Speaking in Korean will be beneficial (not necessary).
