Multiple Postdoc positions available at IIT-Madras: Computational chemistry or materials science

Join our dynamic and collaborative team of researchers in the computational chemistry and materials science (CCMS) group at the chemistry department of IIT-Madras, India! We are currently seeking highly motivated postdoctoral scholars to work on cutting-edge projects in the areas of quantum computing for quantum chemical applications, molecular scattering, and computational materials science.

 Our group is strongly associated with the Centres for "Quantum Information, Communication, and Computing", "Molecular Materials and Functions", and "Atomistic Modelling and Materials Design" at IIT Madras. Also, our group has strong industry collaborations with companies like IBM, TCS, and others. As a postdoc in our group, you will have the opportunity to work with state-of-the-art computational tools (including quantum computers) and techniques, collaborate with experts in the field, and contribute to groundbreaking research. 

Ideal candidates will have a PhD in chemistry, physics, materials science, or a related field, with a strong background in quantum mechanics and computational chemistry/computational materials science. While experience in quantum computing is desirable, it is not strictly necessary.

While the initial appointment is for one year, upon mutual agreement and satisfactory progress, the appointment can be renewed for additional years.
