Peng Cheng Laboratory (PCL) is a scientific research institute located in Shenzen, China, with the mission of conducting strategic, original scientific research and core technology development in the field of network communications and artificial intelligence. The AI center in PCL focuses on the development of AI computing infrastructure and applications, and hosts the world-class AI supercomputer "Peng Cheng Cloud Brain". The AI center seeks to hire talented scientific and technical professionals for multiple positions, including Full Investigator, Associate Investigator, Assistant Investigator, Postdoctoral Research Associate, and Computational Engineers, in the research directions of system software and large-scale AI applications. Research topics include Parallel Computing, Machine Learning (NLP, CV, reinforcement Learning), Neuromorphic Computing, and AI for Science (materials, biochemistry, astronomy, etc).

Roles:

  • Develop, port, and tune scalable applications that make use of mixed precision(FP64,FP32 and FP16) computing capability.

  • Conduct impactful research in one or more of the above directions.

  • Collaborate with other researchers on interdiscpline research.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Researcher: PhD degree in computer science, applied math, or other related computational science field, e.g. computational physics, computational astrophysics, computational materials science, computational biochemistry.

  • Engineer: Master degree or above in computer science, applied math, or related computational science field.

  • A well established track record of research in an area relevant to one or more of the above research directions.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills using both Mandarin and English.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Publication in high-quality refereed journals and conferences on machine learning, AI for science, computing, or computational science.

  • Solid programming skills in Python, C/C++, or Fortran, and familiar with deep learning frameworks, such as Pytorch, TensorFlow, MindSpore.

  • Familiar with heterogeneous, accelerated computer architectures.

  • Experience of developing parallel software, using tools such as CUDA, HIP, MPI, OpenMP, etc.

  • Experience of porting, tuning, and profiling parallel software, targeting at making the best of large-scale computational resources.

  • Experience of using or developing HPC system software, includes workload manager, math library, communication library, distributed file system.
