There are two postdoctoral positions available a the Department of Mathematics at University of California, Santa Barbara broadly in the area of applied and computational mathematics. The candidate is expected to have a good knowledge of numerical method development, with expertise in at least one of the following areas: analysis of electronic structure models, multiscale modeling, tensor networks, or quantum physics. Candidates with physics, chemistry, or materials science backgrounds who have extensive experience in terms of method development are also welcome.
