The ICIQ International Postdoctoral Mobility Programme (ICIQ-IPMP) in 2015 offers 15 postdoctoral positions in 10 different research groups. The programme is partially funded by the Marie Curie Co-funding of Regional, National and International Programme (COFUND) action of the European Commission and the Severo Ochoa Award of Excellence from the Spanish Government. The ICIQ-IPMP aims to set up a training programme addressed to highly talented and motivated experienced researchers to give them the opportunity to develop their research career at the Institute.

Call dedline: November 6th

The selection of candidates will be done at the end of the year or beginning of 2016. The selected candidates should join ICIQ from January to April 2016

Eligibility criteria:

  • The PhD cannot be awarded more than four years before the deadline for submission of applications
  • Candidates must hold a PhD at the at the date of starting the fellowship
  • Candidates must not have resided or carried out their main activity (work, studies,etc.) in Spain for more than 12 months in the 2 years immediately prior to the deadline for submission of applications.

Requirements:

1) Finished PhD in Physics or Materials Science

2) Experience in Density Functional Theory based simulations in solid phases and in the use of HPC resources

3) Excellent command of English, ability to work independently and to write reports, articles etc.
