Postdoctoral level positions are available at Pusan National University, in Pusan, Republic of Korea. Each position is for one year, with reappointment up to 2 years (total 3 years project) by mutual agreement between the PI and the postdoctoral researcher.

1. DFT position

The successful candidate will work in DFT calculations on TiO2 based system to reveal the mechanisms on photocatalysis event with the various type of prophyrin based dyestuff.

Desired qualifications: 1) Ph.D. degree in Materials Science/Chemical Engineering/Physics/Chemistry or in a closely-related fields, 2) expert in DFT calculations with VASP and 3) comprehensive experience on atomic-level modelling of chemical reactions, electronic structures, charge analysis, etc. at their interfaces preferred.

2. MD (Molecular Dynamics) position

The successful candidate will work in a multiscale modeling on investigation/design of organic materials for fuel-cell ionomer design. Specific research topics will include 1) calculations of structure-properties relationships of the materials, and 2) discovery of materials descriptors to design new materials based on materials informatics approach.

Desired qualifications: 1) Ph.D. degree in Materials Science/Chemical Engineering/Physics/Chemistry or in a closely-related fields, 2) expert in molecular dynamics with LAMMPS for organic or hybrid materials system), and 3) comprehensive experience on atomic-level modelling of chemical reactions, defects, thermodynamics, etc. at their interfaces preferred.
