Industry-oriented computational discovery group of Prof. Alexander Kvashnin in the Project Center of Energy Transition and ESG at the Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology opens a postdoc position starting ASAP in 2022.

Available projects/topics: materials science, AI-aided prediction of materials properties, machine learning, computational chemistry etc.

Candidates with experience in DFT simulations, python scripting (ASE, pymatgen, matminer packages), knowledges of materials databases are highly preferred.

Prof. Alexander Kvashnin received Ph.D. degree in condensed matter physics from Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (2016) and Habilitation in condensed matter physics from NUST MISiS (2021). He specializes in the computational search for new materials with comprehensive study of their properties having potential applications in mining, gas & oil, electronics, catalysis, and other fields of technology.
