A position for a graduate research assistant will be opening in the research group of Prof. Adrienn Ruzsinszky (Department of Physics and Engineering Physics, Tulane University, New Orleans, USA, https://sse.tulane.edu/adrienn-ruzsinszky), with the earliest start date of September 1, 2024, in the areas of Condensed Matter Theory/Computational Materials Science.

Parallel with completing Physics or Materials Engineering coursework, applicants are expected to do research in the fields of: (1) Fundamentals of density functional theory (DFT) and (2) Computational work using DFT or many-body theory for periodic solids, surfaces and layered materials.

Applicants with good (~>3.6) BS or MS GPA records in the fields of Physics or Materials Science should first contact Prof. Ruzsinszky in email ([email protected]), attaching a CV (please do not send English proficiency and other documents!). Please do not contact me with low GPA records.
