Job announcements relevant to people interested in electronic structure calculations…

Due to the large number of posts recently, there is currently a delay of several weeks between posts being submitted and the corresponding emails being distributed to all users. Please bear with us while we try to improve this. In the meantime – and until this notice is removed – it would assist us considerably if you could submit only important and/or urgent posts and thus help to reduce the size of the mail queue. Under no circumstances should you resend posts multiple times when you find the emails are not distributed immediately.

In light of the Russian military offensive in Ukraine, we request that announcements relating to events, jobs and other activities associated with institutions supported by the Russian and Belarusian states are not posted to the Psi-k forum.

Dr. Ye research group is currently recruiting two Ph.D. candidates as RA and two Ph.D candidates as TA to work on the project related to computational study and high-throughput screening of efficient homogeneous catalysts and heterogeneous catalysts for small molecule activation and conversion, such as CO2 conversion, C-H bond activation, water splitting.

The candidates will apply DFT, cheminformatics, data science, machine learning, especially deep learning to design and discovery of highly active, selective and stable catalysts.

The successful candidates will be:

(1) Chemistry/Chemical Engineering/Physics or related Major in B.S. and/or M.S.

(2) GPA is over 3.2

(3) Have strong interests in Machine Learning and Computational Catalysis

(4) If the candidate has experience on machine learning, density functional theory, python coding or other coding skills will be a plus.

If you are interested, please immediately send your CV, transcript, and personal statement, and TOEFL (or IEITS) to [email protected]

Ye Research Group is in the department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at Duquesne University, Pittsburgh. Website: http://www.scienceresearch.duq.edu/chem/chemfac/yej/index.html
