At the Department of Physics and Astronomy of the University of Padova, Italy, a three-years fixed term position at the assistant professor level (Rtda)  will be opened soon (within the end of the year) within the national research center for Gene Therapy and Drugs based on RNA Technology.

The selected candidate is expected to carry atomistic simulations for investigating the structure and functioning of RNA and of its modifications within the working group aiming at the Design and development of RNA drugs. 
A strong background in density functional theory simulations  is required and familiarity with machine learning tools will be considered a plus.

The University Padova is celebrating its 800th academic year being  of the oldest universities in the world. Padova has a well preserved medieval center and is located in northern Italy 30 km far from Venice.
