A position for a research assistant with excellent programming skills is available within the ERC project SLIDE "Advancing Solid Interfaces and Lubricants by First Principles Material Design".
The successful candidate will extend an existing workflow for first-principles high-throughput calculation of solid interfaces. He/she will also provide computational support for the multiscale simulation of materials behavior under mechanical stress.
The ideal candidate will have a physics/chemistry/materials science background and strong programming abilities in Phyton and Fortran. Knowledge of machine learning methods for materials is considered a plus.
