The Department of Physics (https://physics.wfu.edu) at Wake Forest University (https://www.wfu.edu) is seeking applications for a tenure track position beginning July 2024. Applicants must hold a Ph.D. in Physics or a related area and are expected to demonstrate a strong commitment to both teaching and research. The Department is searching for candidates whose research is in one of three specific areas, including Condensed Matter Theory with a focus on materials/computational research. Those whose research interests complement those of current Wake Forest Physics faculty are particularly encouraged to apply, as we are looking to increase opportunities for collaborative research. In keeping with the Teacher-Scholar model practiced at Wake Forest University, the successful candidate will teach courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels with a focus on creating a learning environment that welcomes all students into scientific study and supports their ongoing success, along with establishing a vigorous, externally supported research program.
