A fully-funded 2 Ph.D. positions are available in the group of Prof. Se-Hun Kim at Jeju National University, Republic of Korea. The Ph.D. student will perform theoretical investigations of 2D material.

Requirements:

1- Prior experience in Density-functional theory (DFT) using VASP of 2D materials calculations. Practical experience in machine learning and good coding skills using at least one of Python, C/C++, and Fortran are desirable. Prior experience in many-body models is a plus.

2- Solid background in condensed matter physics.

3- Good communication skills in English.

4- Ability to work independently and in a team.

The prospective applicant is expected to be strongly motivated and has a Masters's degree in theoretical condensed matter physics or materials science.
