The Institute for Materials Science of the Technische Universität Braunschweig is offering a

PhD or PostDoc position (full-time, limited to 3 years).

The aim of this DFG-funded project is to study interfaces between different phases in nickel-based superalloys using density functional theory and classical molecular dynamics. Some experimental work is also planned in the project.

Your profile

- Above-average university degree in physics, chemistry, materials science or mechanical engineering
- good knowledge of materials science
- experience in the simulation of materials
- experience in experimental methods of materials science are advantagoeus
- knowledge of German is desirable, but not required
- enthusiasm for a complex research topic

The payment of the position is according to EG 13 TV-L if the personal requirements are
fulfilled.
