The Materials Engineering unit at the University of Turku has opened 2-4 Postdoctoral researcher positions ready to start in summer 2022. The positions include 70% research and 30% tasks related to teaching and/or development of the infrastructure in our new department. 

Development tasks include planning data digitalization and storage, and automation of experiments. Teaching tasks include assisting with materials simulation courses, as well as instructing and mentoring young researchers. The postdoctoral researchers will be part of one of the existing research groups in Materials Engineering, which includes research in applied AI, computational and data-driven materials design. We welcome applications from early career researchers (up to 5 years from PhD) with a background in physics, chemistry or materials science, who seek to build their competences in preparation for the tenure track.
