A 1 year EPSRC funded Postdoctoral position is available in the Penfold group based in the School of Chemistry at Newcastle University. The position is for Computational Studies on the Excited State Properties of Thermally Activated Delayed Fluorescence Emitters. This project will be performed in close collaboration with Prof. Andy Monkman’s group (Durham Physics) and Cynora GmBH. This will build on some of the work recently published in the group: Gibson et al. ChemPhysChem DOI:10.1002/cphc.201600662 (2016).

Candidates should have expertise in quantum chemistry calculations as well as experience with a programming language, preferably Fortran. Some experience of molecular dynamics is also a benefit.

The start date is flexible but ideally will be before October 2016.

The closing date for applications is  22 July 2016.
