Back to General announcements...
Deadline: Fri 14 Aug 2020
From the Division of Computational Physics of the American Physical Society.
There is still time to nominate a young scientist for the Nicholas Metropolis Award for Outstanding Doctoral Thesis Work in Computational Physics. This award recognizes doctoral thesis research of outstanding quality and achievement in computational physics and encourages effective written and oral presentation of research results.
The deadline for nominations is Friday, August 14, 2020.
To be eligible, nominees must have passed their thesis defense not more than 18 months before the nomination deadline.
The membership of APS is diverse and global, and the prize and award winners should reflect that diversity. Nominations of women, members of underrepresented minority groups, and scientists from outside the United States are especially encouraged.
For information about the award and the nomination process, visit the Metropolis Award webpage.
