Dear Colleagues,

we are happy to announce LayerOptics, a post-processing tool to calculate optical coefficients from dielectric tensors of anisotropic layered materials. The intuitive user interface of LayerOptics allows to easily reproduce any experimental setup.

Currently, LayerOptics is interfaced to the exciting code (http://exciting-code.org/). Thanks to its flexible and user-friendly structure, LayerOptics can be adapted to any ab initio code that computes dielectric tensors.

LayerOptics can be downloaded free of charge. Please visit to our official webpage: http://exciting-code.org/layeroptics.

For more information about LayerOptics, please refer to our recent publication on Computer Physics Communications: http://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0010465516000205.

We hope that LayerOptics will provide an added value to your research!

Best wishes,

Christian Vorwerk, Caterina Cocchi and Claudia Draxl
