General announcements

Messages from the Psi-k trustees and other topics of relevance to the Psi-k community, e.g. community-led software codes or databases…

Due to the large number of posts recently, there is currently a delay of several weeks between posts being submitted and the corresponding emails being distributed to all users. Please bear with us while we try to improve this. In the meantime – and until this notice is removed – it would assist us considerably if you could submit only important and/or urgent posts and thus help to reduce the size of the mail queue. Under no circumstances should you resend posts multiple times when you find the emails are not distributed immediately.

In light of the Russian military offensive in Ukraine, we request that announcements relating to events, jobs and other activities associated with institutions supported by the Russian and Belarusian states are not posted to the Psi-k forum.

Financial Support available for participants:

The below text was submitted to Psi-k already on April 7. As it was not sent out in time, we adjusted the deadline.

We are co-organizing the

International Workshop on Data-Driven Computational and Theoretical Materials Design
Shanghai, October 9-13
https://dctmd2024.scievent.com

The workshop promises to be a scientific highlight of the field, and Shanghai is an impressive and exciting city. The conference hotel is located right in the center.

We have some financial support for early career scientists (PhD awarded less than 8 years ago; exceptions may apply) who are currently employed at an institute in the EU. This support will pay the conference fee. Applications should contain a 1/2 page motivation letter, an abstract for a poster/contributed talk, and a CV, all  in one pdf file. Please send this to

NOMAD Office

not later than April 27. We will get back to you within a few days later.

>>> April 27 has been adjusted to May 17.

With best wishes -- Matthias
