Dear Psi-k community,

The SCM team is proud to announce the new release of the Amsterdam Modeling Suite, AMS2019!

https://www.scm.com/AMS2019

Some highlights include:

- Grimme’s GFN1-xTB tight binding method, also for 1D, 2D, and 3D systems (k-space sampling under development)

- DFT-1/2 method in BAND for accurate band gaps, with any functional and relativistic method

- SM12 solvation method for 1D (e.g. nanotubes) and 2D (surfaces) periodic systems.

- Grand Canonical Monte Carlo, molecule & gun and sink (CVD, sputtering) and accelerated reactive dynamics can now also be used with electronic structure methods, including GFN1-xTB and a fast MOPAC library as engine

You are most welcome to try out AMS2019: https://www.scm.com/free-trial

We look forward to your feedback and suggestions to further improve our software.

With kind regards,

Fedor
