ZCAM SCHOOL ON “ULTRAFAST PHENOMENA IN CHEMIST ... (No replies)
Back to Event listings...
Registration to the ZCAM school on “Ultrafast phenomena in Chemistry: Laser-matter interactions at the femto- and atto-second time scales” that will take place in Zaragoza, Spain, in May 22-26, 2023 is now open. For further information and registration: https://www.cecam.org/workshop-details/1241
Registration is free.
Registration deadline: 17 March 2023.
Number of attendants is limited. Confirmation of acceptance will be sent within the next week after registration closes or as soon as the full capacity is reached.
This school introduces the most fundamental concepts for ultrafast chemistry, providing a solid background on theoretical methods to describe the interaction of laser pulses with matter (numerical methods, hybrid approaches and TDDFT approaches). It is designed with a set of comprehensive tutorials and hands-ons on ultrafast electron and nuclear dynamics covering weak-field to strong-field methods. The course is addressed to master students and young PhD students in theoretical atomic and molecular physics, theoretical chemistry, and quantum optics. Post-doctoral researchers are also welcome. You will learn about the fundamentals and the current state-of-the-art theoretical methods for the description of laser-induced ultrafast dynamics in atoms and molecules.
The lecturers participating in this training are: Jens Biegert (ICFO, Barcelona), Wojciech Gawelda (Autonomous University of Madrid-UAM, Madrid), Johannes Feist (UAM, Madrid), Carlos Hernández (USAL, Salamanca), Felipe Zapata (UAM-Lund), Alberto Castro (BIFI, Zaragoza) and Alicia Palacios (UAM). Booklet with a brief summary of the course can be found here: https://members.cecam.org/storage/workshop_files/BOOKLET_Announcement_School_Master_and_PhD-1675711632.pdf.
If you have any questions do not hesitate to contact us ([email protected] or [email protected]).
Note: This school is designed as the first School in the series involving two consecutive schools: the present school (May 29-June 2, 2023), followed by the more advanced ZCAM school on “New Computational Methods for Attosecond Molecular Processes” (May 29-June 2nd, 2023). Master, PhD students or young post-docs can benefit from this series.
