Announcements of conferences, workshops, schools…

Due to the large number of posts recently, there is currently a delay of several weeks between posts being submitted and the corresponding emails being distributed to all users. Please bear with us while we try to improve this. In the meantime – and until this notice is removed – it would assist us considerably if you could submit only important and/or urgent posts and thus help to reduce the size of the mail queue. Under no circumstances should you resend posts multiple times when you find the emails are not distributed immediately.

In light of the Russian military offensive in Ukraine, we request that announcements relating to events, jobs and other activities associated with institutions supported by the Russian and Belarusian states are not posted to the Psi-k forum.

The workshop will be held September 11 - 16, 2022 in the beautiful town of Görlitz, east of Dresden, and is hosted by the Center for Advanced Systems Understanding, Helmholtz-Zentrum Dresden-Rossendorf.

The abstract submission is now open and has been extended.
Please submit your abstract here: https://events.hifis.net/event/229/

Scientific scope
This workshop brings together experts from the spectrum of available modeling techniques (including quantum Monte-Carlo, many-body theory, density functional theory, large-scale molecular dynamics, particle-in-cell, and fluid dynamics simulations). Presentations on these methods will be complemented by experts in data science, artificial intelligence, and experiments. The goal is to summarize the state of the art, identify the current caveats of each methodology, and devise strategies for achieving multiscale workflows.
