Dear Colleagues,
We kindly remind you that oral abstract submissions to the Ultrafast Phenomena in Cooperative Systems Gordon Research Seminar (February 19-20, 2022 in Ventura, California) are due November 19.

The Gordon Research Seminar (GRS) provides early-career researchers, including graduate students, postdocs, and other scientists with comparable levels of experience, a platform to present and exchange new data and cutting-edge ideas. A key component of this seminar is a career panel with representatives from academia, private research institutes, and industry to showcase various career paths in ultrafast science. Attendees are expected to actively participate in the GRS, either by giving an oral presentation or presenting a poster. Poster abstract submissions will be due January 22.

The GRS will be held just prior to the main meeting, the Ultrafast Phenomena in Cooperative Systems Gordon Research Conference (February 20-25, 2022 in the same location), and all junior researchers are strongly encouraged to attend both meetings.

Note that all attendees will be required to show proof of COVID-19 vaccination - more information regarding the GRC’s vaccination policy and COVID-19 protocols can be found at this link.

Financial assistance is available for qualified applicants through the GRC Carl Storm Underrepresented Minority Fellowship Program, which provides funding for underrepresented minority graduate students, postdocs, faculty, and scientists to attend their first GRC meeting.

If you are senior faculty, we kindly ask you to forward this email to your students and postdocs, as well as other young researchers and faculty in your department. If you have any further questions, please feel free to reach out to us via email. We are looking forward to seeing you at the 2022 Ultrafast Phenomena in Cooperative Systems GRS in Ventura, CA!

Sincerely,
